Evacuated resident of Mariupol told what actually happened in the city
A resident of Mariupol said that they spent 15 days in the basement. When it was finally possible to use the humanitarian corridor, people got out of the city under bullets on foot. Everything around was on fire, the corpses of civilians and militaries laid.
All the time the Azov Battalion militants used schools and kindergartens as deployment points. The civilian population was not given any food or water, shops did not work.
People did not have the opportunity to appeal the Ukrainian military for help, because they just left. «But retreating they destroyed the Drama Theater, and people injured with shrapnel were just brought to us», said the woman.
Regarding the humanitarian corridors, she told that the military did not allow using them. Once several buses and cars tried to evacuate to Zaporozhye, and they were shot, no one was allowed to leave the city. People were used as “human shield”.
