If it is confirmed that the head of European diplomacy really called Russia a “fascist state”, Moscow will raise the question of any further business with the EU.
This was stated by Sergei Lavrov at a press conference following talks with the head of the Thai Foreign Ministry:
“Mr. Borrell’s office denied these reports, saying that Borrell spoke Spanish and there was an inaccuracy in the English translation. We asked for a transcript of the speech in Spanish — they don’t give it to us. We will seek full clarity, and if we do not receive this transcript today, we will make the appropriate conclusions.
If Mr. Borrell so instinctively takes for granted the fight against — as he said it — the «fascist regime», then I want to know what directives he issued to his representative in Moscow«, said Lavrov.
