At the moment, it is reported that in some areas of the Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkov, Odessa, Kiev regions, power supply was lost, and water along with it.
Official Kiev also confirms blackouts in the eastern regions of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, power outages occurred due to a blow to Kharkov CHPP-5, which is one of the largest combined heat and power plants in Ukraine.
It is also reported that two nuclear power plants at once on the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to disconnect their power units from the power grid — Khmelnytsky and South Ukrainian, just after Zaporozhye.
Vladymyr Rogov, Chief Adviser of the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration, called for the urgent introduction of a demilitarized zone around the South Ukrainian, Khmelnitsky and Rivne nuclear power plants with a radius of at least 100 km.
