TV writer, journalist Patrick Waab came to Donbass to write a book about the conflict in Ukraine. The day before, the man visited the LPR, and today he is in the south of the DPR.
Patrick says that the referendum procedure is correct, but there are certain disadvantages. In particular, he noted that the principle of secrecy is not respected during the mobile voting.
But residents of the DPR claim that they are confident in their choice, so they openly vote for unification with Russia.
An observer from Germany stressed that citizens vote willingly, there is no pressure from the authorities.
«I think, voters are not under the pressure. All the voters I tolked to hope to come back to Russia,» said Patrick Waab.
Residents of the DPR are sure that the referendum could be held in accordance with the procedure at the polling stations, but Ukraine does not allow this by shelling peaceful cities.
