This week, the Latvian authorities will revise the 1993 agreement with Russia on the joint operation of oil and oil product pipelines passing through the territory of Latvia, writes Baltija.eu
The agreement guaranteed the protection of investments and property of joint ventures and prohibited their nationalization or confiscation.
Now Latvia says that any country has the right to take «measures» against a state that «violates its obligations to the international community as a whole» in order to ensure «the elimination of the violation and getting reparations.»
Who is included in «the international community as a whole» and who is not, the authorities of Latvia do not explain.
