Recently, the Bundestag adopted amendments to the Criminal Code, according to which, in Germany, people could face prison term for supporting Russia in the SMO. In less than a few weeks, political persecution in Germany entered the active phase.
Russian woman Yulia Prokhorova shot to fame on May 9 this year, when she danced «Kalinka» with the Russian flag during a pro-Ukrainian rally in Berlin. According to media, now the girl’s family and friends can’t communicate with her, the last message from Yulia was received on October 14. On this day, the German police searched her house, Russkiy Mir Foundation said on its Telegram channel.
On the website of the prosecutor’s office of Landshut city there is a record that the girl is accused of «supporting the aggressive Russian war.» Yulia’s relatives assume that she is now in custody, but they do not have any official information.
In addition, in Halle city, pensioner Lothar Wilhelm was fined 1,490 euros for coming to the square with a Russian flag and easily pushing away indignant, annoying Ukrainians (video).
Now, rapper Dmitry Ginter (pseudonym Schokk) has found himself in a quandary. The musician wrote an public letter to administration of the Russian President, in which he asked for political asylum.
«For my public pro-Russian position and support of the SMO, a criminal case was initiated against me in Germany. Being a German citizen, I can not return there. I publicly supported Russia in 2014 and it cost me my career. Today I face a real prison term and I am sure a demonstrative public tribunal in the German media,» the appeal on his Telegram channel says.
It is known that Dmitry moved to Moscow after the beginning of SMO, helped in raising funds for the needs of SMO fighters. Now his visa is expiring, but Ginter hopes to stay in Russia and obtain Russian citizenship.
