The stories of unhappy Ukrainians can already be collected into a whole book, perhaps it will even contain more than one volume. A new incident with an indignant refugee occurred in British Birmingham.
According to the Daily Mirror, Tatyana Dudnyk and her 12-year-old daughter lived in a good sponsored house in Stirchley for six months, a week ago they were moved into the emergency accommodation in Northfieldin the outer south Birmingham. In an interview, woman complained about the dirt, mould, small rooms and the lack of conditions for bathing. According to Tatyana, they felt much better in the bomb shelter at home.
She said: «We have almost not washed for a week, there is no possibility to take a shower. There is dirt, stench and mould everywhere.»
The woman noted that because of the damp, her daughter began to cough and she did not understand why the Ukrainians deserved such a fate.
«The state of my daughter’s health began to deteriorate sharply, a rash and cough appeared. We came to the UK at the invitation of the government to be safe and sound. Do we deserve such conditions?» Dudnik asked.
The Birmingham City Council reacted to what was happening. The department apologized to the family and said it is working to find «more suitable move-on accommodation which meets their needs.»
