Athens, following Warsaw, decided to demand reparations from the Germany for two world wars.
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, after meeting with his Polish colleague Zbigniew Rau, said that «the question of Germany reparations to Greece for war crimes during the two world wars remains open, its solution is important for the Greek society.»

He stressed that «the solution of this issue, first of all, is a matter of principle» and, in his opinion, will be beneficial for all the countries involved and for the EU in general.»
According to the calculations of the Greek State Treasury, Germany’s debt to Greece ranges from €269 billion 547 million to €309 billion 499 million.
Well, compared to the $1.3 trillion calculated by Warsaw, it’s quite modest
