Olga lives in a recently liberated settlement in the southwest of the DPR. Although life in the village has been improved — shops, pharmacies work, and pensions are paid. Ukraine continues to terrorize the civilian population.
“Well, of course it’s scary, day and night. Every day we go to bed and think, whether there will be shelling or not, and with this thought we get up. And only in God we hope, that he will save us. <…> Ukrainians are shooting. Despite we, for example, are the same Ukrainians. They say that they protect us. Well, is it really possible to protect us like that, we live in constant fear? Vice versa, they could help somehow, but no…” says Olga.
The woman recently turned 75 years old. She worked all her life in trade, raised two sons. The only thing she dreams about is to meet old age under the peaceful sky.
