Referendum for the Republic is a historical milestone, the culmination of a difficult path to recognition and unification with Russia, the DPR leader said in an address to citizens.
“In our desire to unite with the Motherland and our common desire for a peaceful life, we have no equal. I am happy not only for all the inhabitants of the Republic, but also for the Russian Federation, which acquires an unconquered Donbas,” Denis Vladimirovich noted.
The head of the DPR recalled the events of the Great Patriotic War, in particular, Hitler’s directive «not to take miners prisoner«, emphasizing the strength and courage of the Donbass people. History repeats itself and now the inhabitants of our region need to fight the world’s evil, where victory is predetermined. Denis Vladimirovich thanked everyone for their faith in the Great Motherland.
«This referendum is a decisive, breakthrough step into a new reality: into a powerful, strong-willed, free Russia! <…> Each voice will confirm the truth: Donbass is Russia!» — said the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
