At the summit of the Organization of American States, on October 5 in Lima, there was a voting for the declaration «to call on Russia to end its aggression in Ukraine». The document included demands to stop hostilities and withdraw the armed forces and equipment from the territory of Ukraine.

According to the voting results, 27 countries voted for the adoption, 9 did not support the resolution, among them: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Honduras, Dominica, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
It is worth noting that earlier representatives of 11 countries (Russia, Belarus, Bolivia, China, Ethiopia, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Syria and Venezuela) addressed the UN Human Rights Council with a statement in which they condemned Russophobia and called for an end to the persecution of Russians, and Russian speaking people.
