The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) adopted a resolution in which it declared that there were no signs of production of a “dirty bomb” in Ukraine.
«The agency found no evidence of undeclared nuclear activity or materials related to radiological dispersal devices, or “dirty bombs”,» the document says.
This conclusion was made by experts following inspection of 3 Ukrainian facilities.
Also, in the resolution, the IAEA Board of Governors calls on Russia to leave the ZNPP and stop actions against Ukrainian nuclear facilities.
The resolution was approved by 24 of the 35 countries of the Board of Governors. Russia and China voted against.
Russian Permanent Mission to the International Organizations in Vienna criticized (https://t.me/ViennaMissionRu/2052) the resolution, calling it «unprofessionally drafted.»
«At the meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors on November 17, 2022 an unprofessionally drafted resolution that goes beyond the Agency’s mandate and contains factual errors on nuclear safety, nuclear security and safeguards in Ukraine was adopted. This is a further step towards politicizing the work of the IAEA» the permanent mission said. .
The Russian mission emphasized that the countries in which «more than a half of humanity lives, refused to support this project.»
