In an interview with one of the leading media Olaf Scholz made a number of statements

• The German Chancellor fully shares Biden’s position on the weapons supply to Ukraine.
•  The German Chancellor agreed on the supply of MLRS to Ukraine with Biden.
•  Germany believes that it is necessary to share the load of the weapons supply to Kiev, is ready to take on the provision of air defense systems and artillery.
•  Kiev itself must determine the terms of the agreement with the Russian Federation, there can be no talks about the imposed peace.
•  The EU should cooperate more closely on arms purchases.
• The German chancellor ruled out «for the foreseeable future» the possibility of sending German troops to EU missions without the approval of the Bundestag.
• The German Chancellor advocated decision-making in the EU by a majority vote and a deviation from the principle of unanimity.
•  The issue of reparations to Poland for the government of Germany is legally closed.
