Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said that the country does not have the production capacity to supply Ukraine with air defense systems. The politician stressed that the state provides humanitarian aid and medical equipment to Kiev, but refuses to send any lethal weapons.
“It is clear that even if it decided that we change our policy, it is impossible to empty our supply of air defense systems.” We are checking every day what can be done and how we can expand our aid, but we must not forget that NATO stands behind Ukraine.» the Israeli minister said.
Earlier, according to Ukrainian media, Israel nevertheless supplied Ukraine with SmartShooter anti-drone systems. This weapon allows to eliminate ground targets that are not protected by armor, including vehicles and manpower, including UAVs, which cause the greatest damage to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
