The telephone conversation between the French president and Putin did not take place, but, apparently, Macron had something to say, so he publicly expressed his thoughts on the decision of the LDPR authorities to hold referendums on joining Russia. The main points:
- The organization of referendums on Donbass territory is cynicism and provocation
- If the idea of a referendum in Donbass were not so tragic, it would be funny
- Referendums in Donbass will not have legal consequences, the whole process is a parody
- France will continue to supply weapons to Ukraine
It is noted that the President of France is still looking forward to talk with the President of the Russian Federation in the coming days.
