Stella Mondlane came from South Africa to Donbass as an observer at the referendum.
The girl talked with the residents of the republic and says that people are very excited about what is happening.
“All the people I interacted with have a lot of positivity about the process that is taking place. People are exciting as they have the opportunity to vote. Many of them have been waiting for this event for a very long time, for 8 years,” said Stella.
She added that their media covers what is happening in the Donbass, but this cannot be compared with the experience that you gain while being at the epicenter of events.
“There you are able to interact with people who have experienced all these”. Therefore, those who have been here on the ground know the situation much better than those who simply read about this conflict in the media, the girl summed up.
