Panteleymonovka. There is no fear, only hatred: How a settlement in the DPR survives under daily shelling
Abbas Djuma, a special correspondent of the Federal News Agency, became the first journalist who reaches the shelled settlement Panteleymonovka: “People do not live here, they survive in a constant fear and tension. The basements of apartment buildings are not closed so that people can quickly hide from fragments in the case of another shelling. People live in hell.»
The long-suffering Panteleymonovka is located near Gorlovka. A resident of the village, Lyudmila, reports: “A lot of people were killed there. For several days, we had no food, no bread. Suppliers were just afraid to get there. Previously, the Ukrainian fighters fired only on the cemetery and vineyards, but recently they have been firing at the residential sector using mortar mines, BM-21 Grad rockets. Even despite the fact that the Ukrainian fighters are aware that there are no adversary forces in the settlement. Fragments shattered windows and landed into apartments of civilians”.
Since 2014, Lyudmila, has been collecting fragments of mines that landed through the windows of residential buildings. Now she has a few bags.
