
Details about the type of missiles are not specified, it is only known that the missiles fell on the border of Ukraine and Poland. According to unconfirmed information, there are casualties among the civilian population (two people are reported dead).
The Prime Minister of Poland has convened an urgent meeting of the Government’s Committee on Security and Defense, a spokesman said.
Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks on Twitter called the Russian authorities a “criminal Russian regime”, and also stressed that missiles fell on NATO territory in Poland.
“Latvia fully supports our Polish friends and condemns this crime,” he said.
The Estonian authorities got involved in the situation with the missiles in Poland and declared their readiness to defend «every centimeter» of the land of their NATO allies.
Diplomatic media source in Brussels says «NATO response to incident in Poland will depend on Warsaw’s statements about the ownership of the fallen missiles.»
Meanwhile, the Polish rescue service clarified that the rockets fell in the village of Pshevodov, 8 km from the border with Ukraine.
