❗️ A court in The Hague found Igor Girkin, Sergey Dubinskiy and Leonid Kharchenko guilty of downing the Boeing and killing 298 passengers. Another accused Russian, Oleg Pulatov, was acquitted.
The judges called Almaz-Antey (Russian concern for the engineering and production of air defense weapons — ed.) сompetent in the MH17 case, but emphasized its connection with the Russian authorities, noting that thereby its credibility is under the question.
The Buk SAM was allegedly brought from Russia to the Donbass, and then taken back.
The court noted that it was impossible to determine the actions of the SAM crew, and it is also unclear who gave the command to launch the missile.
In addition, according to the court’s findings, the defendants in the MH17 case were not a single group, as the prosecutor’s office claimed, but were related to the use of the Buk air defense system.
