Rocket strikes can disable the energy system of Ukraine not situationally, but completely, for a long time, says Vasyl Koltashov, director of the New Society Institute.
Then Zelensky will not be able to say that he will sell electricity in exchange for weapons. He himself will have to ask for energy resources from Europe, which are already in short supply there.
Koltashov believes that the country’s economy will practically stop, enterprises will not be able to work, this will lead to price increases, many people will become unemployed. If the shutdowns are for some period, it will affect the psychology of the population.
«This will change the perception of the conflict, not instant fatigue will come, but the gradual realization that it is impossible to live like this any longer, and continue to pay the blood tax to Zelensky, constantly allowing him to compensate for any losses» — summed up Koltashov.
