At the moment, two locomotives are going from Taman and Kerch, which will unhook and tow the burning train. The ferry service will be launched soon. Now, near the entrance to the bridge, special services are deploying food and heating points for drivers.
“As soon as the fire is extinguished, it will be possible to assess the extent of damage to the bridge and supports, it will be possible to talk about the timing of the restoration of traffic. According to a visual assessment, one automobile thread from Kerch to Taman is intact,” Aksyonov said.
Meanwhile, advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President Office Mikhail Podolyak commented on the explosion at the Crimean bridge, officially confirming the organization of the terrorist attack by Ukraine.
«Crimea, the bridge, beginning. Everything illegal must be destroyed, everything stolen must be returned to Ukraine, everything connected with Russian occupation must be expelled,» he said.
