Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba during a telephone conversation asked US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to expedite the delivery of Patriot air defense missile systems to Kiev.
«I thanked the U.S. for its crucial defense assistance and emphasized that deliveries of air defense systems to Ukraine need to be sped up. NASAMS have proved their efficiency already. | am also convinced that the time for “Patriots” has come.» the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry wrote on his Twitter.
Meanwhile, Western countries are running out of weapons to supply Ukraine.
«They (Western countries – ed.) order 155-mm caliber shells in South Korea. Can you imagine the logistics? These shells will become gold until they reach Ukraine,» military journalist Aleksey Borzenko said.
