The Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack the positions of the People’s Militia near Donetsk. Within two days, Ukrainian militants planned to regain control over a section of the Donetsk ring road beyond Peski. But our military successfully repelled the attempts of Ukrainian militants.
The surviving nationalists fled, leaving their wounded comrades. They were rescued by servicemen of the DPR People’s Militia.
“When we went to the location, we immediately came under mortar fire. There were a lot of injured and killed, the BMP left, they didn’t give us any help, and they didn’t even try to take us out,” says the captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total losses of the Ukrainian army amounted to about 40 people, several neo-Nazis were captured.
